Wyrdren is a small, independent games studio with a big heart that creates narrative-driven experiences that centre on emotional journeys, underrepresented voices, and cosy, often spooky, atmospheres. We believe games should reflect the richness and diversity of the real world, and our mission is to craft thoughtful, inclusive, and memorable experiences for players who don’t always see themselves represented.

Wyrdren was founded by Sally, a solo developer with a passion for storytelling and worldbuilding. What began as a one-woman studio gradually grew into a small, close-knit team collaborating with talented creatives and contractors from a variety of backgrounds. We are proud to champion diverse voices, and that perspective is woven into the stories we tell.

After a successful start and a well-received early project, Sally took a step away in 2023 to work as an Art Director at another UK-based games studio. During this time, she honed her skills in visual storytelling, creative direction, and team leadership — gaining valuable insight and perspective from within a slightly larger studio environment.

In 2025, Sally returned to Wyrdren with fresh energy and a renewed sense of purpose. With new experience, a clearer vision, and a commitment to sustainable growth, the studio is once again focused on building meaningful games for players who are looking for something a little different.

As we continue to expand the team and grow our catalogue, our core values remain unchanged. We put players first. We build inclusive worlds. We tell stories that matter.
